Yizhi (Louis) Liu
I am an Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems at the Fox School of Business, Temple University. My research spans two streams: Causal & Trustworthy AI and the Digital Platform Economy.
In Causal & Trustworthy AI, I investigate the mechanisms and limitations of AI systems, develop methods to improve their reliability and capabilities, and explore how AI can advance causal understanding and inference.
In Digital Platform Economy, I examine how digital platforms shape economic and social behavior, particularly their unintended consequences and opportunities to improve platform mechanisms and governance.
My research combines experiments, machine learning, and causal inference. I study AI both as an object of inquiry and as a research tool for understanding complex phenomena and addressing real-world challenges.
